Get to Know the Court’s Staff

The court’s staff run the Court. They can make your life hell, if they don’t like you, and much easier, if they do. And they know the judge better than you ever will. That said, before your case, make sure to come early (that day or the day before) to watch part of a trial and introduce yourself to the staff. By doing this, you will not only get a better feel for the courtroom and how the judge handles their cases, but you will also, hopefully, make friends out of the court’s staff, an invaluable ally.
